One Big Beautiful Bill Act: Direct Benefits for Workers and Farmers in the U.S.
On July 11, 2025, President Donald J. Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, a legislative reform that is already beginning to show tangible effects in the lives of thousands of Americans. From tax incentives for workers to protections for the agricultural sector, this new legislation has been met with positive feedback across various regions of the country.
Tip Tax Exemption: A Relief for Service Sector Workers
One of the most notable aspects of the bill is the elimination of taxes on tips, a measure that directly benefits waiters, bartenders, and restaurant workers.
In states like California, Nevada, Florida, and Michigan, service employees say this change translates into additional income they can allocate to savings, their families, or even educational plans.

“Over the past few years, I owed quite a bit, so I hope this can go into a college fund,” said a waitress in California. Another worker in Florida noted that tips account for 90% of his income, so the benefit is significant: “A little more money in workers’ pockets gives us the chance to enjoy our cities a little more.”
Benefits for Agriculture: Protecting the Agricultural Legacy
The law also includes significant measures for the agricultural sector, such as the elimination of the estate tax on family-owned properties. This provision is especially important for multigenerational farmers, who now see the possibility of passing down their land without tax burdens.
“One of my goals when I started farming was to be able to pass this farm on to the next generation, and I’m making that happen,” shared Dennis Friest, a fifth-generation farmer in Iowa.
In Texas, another rural producer expressed that this legislation represents a necessary safety net for the country’s farmers: “We definitely need a strong safety net for American farmers.”
Zero Taxes on Overtime: Support for Extra Effort
Another key measure is the tax exemption on overtime hours. This decision allows employees who work beyond their regular schedules to keep a larger portion of their earnings, making it easier for them to better manage their finances.
Mike Ellis, a coroner in Greenville County, South Carolina, explained that this provision will benefit the officers on his team, who face long workdays in difficult contexts: “They work extremely hard and have an extremely tragic job, each and every one of them.”
A Nationwide Economic Impact
From Hawaii to Minnesota, the testimonies collected reflect a widespread shift in workers’ perception of their daily financial situation. In many cases, the One Big Beautiful Bill is seen as an opportunity to regain financial stability, invest in the future, or simply live with greater peace of mind.
A waiter in Minnesota summed it up like this: “If we have more money on our checks, it’s better; we won’t have to give it to the government.”
