USCIS Announces Opening of Application Period for Citizenship and Integration Grants Program. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today the opening of the application period for the Citizenship and Integration Grants Program, which provides funding for citizenship preparation programs in communities across the country. The program, which has been in effect for 16 years, specifically the Citizenship and Naturalization Assistance Grant Program, will provide up to $10 million in grants to prepare legal immigrants for naturalization and promote civic integration through increased knowledge of English, U.S. history, and civics education.
