H-1B Electronic Registration Process
On April 1, 2024, USCIS service centers will no longer accept Form I-129 petitions requesting H-1B or H-1B1 (HSC) classification. H-1B petitioners must register electronically and pay a $10 fee per beneficiary. This process streamlines management, reduces paperwork, and provides savings to employers.

The final rule issued on January 30, 2024, aims to strengthen the integrity of the H-1B process by focusing on the beneficiary and reducing the potential for fraud. Starting fiscal year 2025, valid passport or travel document information will be required for each beneficiary. USCIS selected additional registrations in July 2023 to meet the H-1B visa allocations for fiscal year 2024. A significant increase in the number of registrations submitted was observed compared to previous years.
