One of the requirements for obtaining permanent residency and legalizing immigration status in the United States is undergoing a medical examination, and the COVID vaccine remains mandatory in this process.

You must complete the primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine (e.g., 1 or 2 doses, depending on the vaccine, for adults; 2 or 3 doses, depending on age and vaccine, for children) and provide vaccination documentation to the civil surgeon in person before completing the medical exam. For more information about the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, see the CDC Technical Instructions.
